Our group of 4 friends (a couple and 2 singles) had an outstanding holiday. The setting is lovely, on the banks of the river Indre, close to charming towns such as Monts and Artannes, and really close to area attractions such as chateaux and vineyards. The mill itself has been remodeled in such a way that it preserves the original details and charm, while being sufficiently modernized. We recommand it !

HISTORY

Quoted since 1278, the mill of Fleuriaux depended on the priory of Rancay and was one of the many flour built on the banks of the river of Indre.
Restored in the 1870s by its owner Paul Ferdinand Delaville Leroulx who had just bought a part of the estate du Breuil located on the opposite side of the river, it retained its pink pitched brick coating, characteristic of the valley. Its wooden wheel on the north side initially produced two pairs of millstones, and after abandoning the production of flour, an installation supplied the town of Monts with electricity in 1910.
In the 1980s, the mill was renovated and inhabited for some thirty years by a renowned historian, Pierre Audin, specialist in the Indre valley historical features . When he leaves in 2015 the mill was restored to make a self catering for guests.
